For 5 generations
The cellar of the House has a very particular history because it is in this one that one of the first Champagne of the village of Sacy was created thanks to a group of some winegrowers. Today, Quentin and his mother Catherine continue to perpetuate the family business.
Champagne MARCHAL DEGESNE is a family estate that has been running since 1920. 5 generations have succeeded each other in order to bring the best to our vineyard classified exclusively as Premier Cru. Each generation of winegrowers to bring his stone to the building which has improved our exploitation while keeping the best of each generation.
A Story of generations
Quentin and Catherine, his mother, are today the two managers of the estate. Two different generations that combine passion, motivation and challenges. The two generations together allow for great stability within the farm while ensuring the transmission of family know-how for several decades.
Our plots of vines have an average age of 30 years, which allows us to produce quality Champagnes with great finesse and a wide aromatic palette. Our wines are aged for a minimum of 4 years in our cellars, 7 years for some cuvées and 10 years for our finest vintages, which allows for a beautiful evolution of the wines and the aromatic notes typical of the house.
